Do you own a home and need help accessing funds for a necessary repair?

At Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation we help home owners who fall in the low to very-low income categories to access funds for needed repairs. We facilitate access to two different programs: , Northern Utah Neighborhood Improvement Program (NUNIP) and Single Family Rehabilitation and Repair Program (SFRRP).

NUNIP is a $15,000 grant available to homes in Logan, Brigham City and Tremonton to make necessary repairs. Income qualifications apply and are based on 80% of Average Median Income & family size.   Process of selecting qualified applicants will be based on a pre-determined scoring/criteria. Applicants must own and reside in the home to apply. Seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income families are encouraged to apply.

The following types of repairs are eligible for the program:

Replace substandard roofing

  1.  Replace soffit, fascia & gutters

  2.  Replace substandard exterior doors

  3.  Replace substandard windows

  4.  Replace or improve exterior walls & siding

  5.  Replace substandard wiring & fuse boxes

  6.  Concrete work (e.g., replacement of broken concrete, installation of driveways or wheelchair ramps)

SFRRP is a Utah program available to households in qualifying “rural” areas. Rural is defined by the USDA and varies by County. SFRRP provides low interest loans for the rehabilitation of single-family, owner-occupied households in rural Utah. Household income must meet HUD income limits found below. Funds can be used to make interior and exterior repairs that qualify as “necessary” for qualifying households.
